You do not need a finished design, artistic vocabulary, or a perfectly organized plan to request something custom. You just need a place to begin—and I’ll help you work through the rest.
The best custom orders often begin with a sentence like, “I have an idea, but I’m not sure how to make it work.”
That is exactly what the custom-order process is designed for.
Every project is a little different, but most NanaGrams custom orders follow these six simple steps.
Start with whatever you have: the person, occasion, product idea, photograph, favorite colors, meaningful wording, budget, deadline, or simply the feeling you want the gift to have. A rough idea is completely fine.
I’ll help you narrow down the product, size, material, colors, wording, style, and personalization. If a photograph or artwork file may not reproduce well, I’ll let you know and help identify a better option when possible.
Before work moves forward, we’ll confirm what is being created, the price, what is included, and the estimated timeframe. Production time can vary depending on the product, complexity, materials, quantity, and seasonal order volume.
When a proof is part of the order, you’ll have the opportunity to check names, dates, spelling, colors, placement, and other important details. Nothing enters production until the required proof is approved.
Custom production begins after the necessary personalization details, usable files, payment, and proof approval have been received. Once you approve the design, changes may be limited because materials and production may already be underway.
I create your item using the agreed design and details. When it is finished, you’ll receive instructions for shipping or local pickup near Anderson, Indiana, depending on the arrangement for your order.
You are never expected to know every technical detail. Clear communication and a little collaboration are what turn the original idea into something special.
Digital proofs are visual guides. The finished color, placement, wood grain, engraving depth, texture, and finish may vary slightly because screens, materials, product shapes, and handmade processes are all different.
Personalized items are generally final sale once approved and produced because they were created specifically for you. If NanaGrams Deals makes an error or an item arrives damaged or defective, please contact me promptly so the situation can be reviewed and made right.

You can share as much—or as little—as you currently know. Tell me about the person, moment, purpose, or idea, and we’ll take it from there.
